NAIE Webinar – It Takes a Village: Collaborative Working Relationships Between Educational Interpreters & Related Service Providers

March 19, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

NAIE is hosting a live panel discussion with Related Service Providers who commonly work alongside Educational Interpreters. When Educational Interpreters and their colleagues have relationships built on respect and support, the shared goal of meeting the educational needs of DHHDB students can thrive. Sometimes, these relationships are contentious and create barriers to developing collaborative working relationships. Panelists from a variety of professional backgrounds including Teachers of the Deaf, Educational Audiologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and more will discuss how they have developed working relationships with educational interpreters in their school districts.

Moderator: Keith Burisek (NAIE Interim Membership Director and Wisconsin State Ambassador)

Panelists:
-Tina Gonzales Childress (Audiologist/Advocate)
-Kara Deschler (School Psychologist)
-Christina Spike (Speech-Language Pathologist)
-Julie Tobin (LSL PreSchool Teacher and Speech-Language Pathologist)
