The NAIE Board is excited to welcome Scott Foor as our new Vice President. Scott E. Foor, MA is the CEO of Deaf Intervention Services (DeafIS). He is a certified teacher of the deaf and an educational sign language interpreter, with more than 20 years of experience working with deaf and hard of hearing populations. In addition, Scott has served as an EMT for 19 years in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He currently serves as Training Sergeant for the Continuing Medical Readiness Program with the 153rd Medical Group of the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Under his leadership, DeafIS provides sign language interpreting services for hospitals, emergency departments, and medical clinics across Wyoming. Scott is especially passionate about collaborating with the deaf community to support sign language interpreting and teacher of the deaf service requests in K–12 schools. Beyond education and healthcare, DeafIS also partners with colleges, universities, government agencies, courts, and a wide range of businesses to ensure communication access and equity.
Scott was elected by the board of directors in August 2025 for a two-year term.
