SUMMARY:Members-Only Webinar: Deaf-hearing Interpreting Teams in K-12 Settings
DESCRIPTION:Topic: Deaf-hearing Interpreting Teams in K-12 Settings \nPresenter: Dr. Rosemary Wanis \nDescription: The use of Deaf interpreters (DIs) has become increasingly common in the interpreting profession. DIs work in collaboration with hearing interpreters (HIs) in tandem with each other in an interdependent relationship.  They work side by side to navigate the unique intricacies of language and cultural mediation by expanding their role space\, and decision latitude\, to ensure that linguistic equity is achieved.  DIs work with a wide variety of students and are often overlooked as a resource in K-12 settings.  With the demands that exist in the educational setting\, the information gathered from this research study examines the roles\, responsibilities\, and benefits of DI-HI teams. \nLog in to your Member Portal to access the registration link.
